Once more, the Stormworks community is riddled with mass hysteria and mental gymnastics following the latest update, which introduced a game-breaking bug that was fixed in two days. A follow-up to The Space DLC Hysteria.

Someone who joined the game 8 months ago, complaining about the game constantly being broken. They were present for a grand total of 1 game breaking bugs.

A lot of this is completely fair, but there were 16 changes in v1.15.19's update, many of which were important fixes and optimizations.Source.

It was fixed 2 hours after this post, and historically we've gotten hotfixes to game-breaking bugs within one day. Don't believe me? Here are all the game-breaking bugs that were introduced since 2023, and how long it took to fix them:

v1.15.19: Vehicles over 10 MB no longer spawned due to a too broadly applied Multiplayer optimization, fixed in 2 days.
v1.15.8: Microcontrollers were no longer possible to save (never looked into why myself), fixed in 1 day.
v1.13.2: Introduced a crash when near the southwest corner of the Arid Island, fixed in 16 days (Christmas break).
v1.10.5: Broke modular engine composite node data, fixed in 1 day.
v1.9.19: Introduced a rare crash when deleting vehicles from the vehicle editor, fixed in 3 days.
All 12 updates between October 12th and November 1st of 2023 were hotfixes for the Compressed Fluids & Gases Major Update

I think this is in a tie with the next image for the worst take, ever. If we completely skip the fact that Geometa is an active company, Stormworks is an active project, and it isn't completely illegal to do:

Who's going to manage it,
What's going to stop hundreds of people making their own forks, each completely incompatible with each other,
What's going to stop 99% of maintainers from giving up from burnout,
How long is it going to take to document and understand the code,
How long is it going to take to actually properly decompile the game to make it feasible, OR who is going to convince Geometa to give the source code out/make the game open source,
Finally, there's a very high chance that Stormworks contains closed source licensed libraries that are illegal to redistribute, and that there is code/assets that are owned by the person who wrote/created them, rather than Geometa, which is a very common issue among indie games.

Apart from a bunch of ehh takes at best, this person genuinely thinks that Geometa intentionally broke Stormworks (their main source of income) to promote sales of Anymaker (which cannot be bought and has a small overlap of appeal with Stormworks players...).They also said they don't understand how a train wheel could cause this bug, ignoring the other 15 changes, and said they should simply refactor the entire gameSource.

IronChad, it really explains itself. He also had yet another crashout related to me, the blog, and a bunch of other stuff, but has since deleted all comments. I got a screenshot of this one directly:

This person who supposedly "made ai architectures" got a lot wrong, but I expect it's literally just IronChad pretending to outsource the argument to make him seem more credible. I had stated LLMs and Image Generation are both built off of Neural Networks (Transformer vs. Diffusion), but according to "Ryker", LLMs and Image Generation function nothing like Neural Networks, then stated that this isn't an argument; it's a fact, and that if I don't know how AI works, I shouldn't get into this argument. Then, he said right after, that this isn't an argument.He also claimed that AI image generation copies images, and tries to replicate them 1:1 via a prompt. Akin to someone stealing something off of the Stormworks Workshop, changing it up a tiny bit, and reuploading it.I had forgotten about this argument until he'd brought it up in this Reddit reply.

Supposedly a bunch of people were complaining about me defending the developers directly to him, and he's just speaking for them because I'd target them and try my best to dig into their private stuff. I know this is a jab at what I found about him, but everything I found, he handed to me. His name and location were on his Steam profile (which now says [insert fake name here].

Sharing a link to my website, which contains his name and general location as he published, is apparently doxxing in its fullest. Kind of like when he doxxed Thatcoolcat1, except when he did that, it was his full name, exact location, GPS coordinates, pets, and names of relatives.

Unfortunately, the line about him being legally allowed to drink and get married in his country is true. There are also many who have played this game since 2019 and are still a few years off from being in their 20's.

In other comments that weren't directly replying to mine, I recall him claiming:

Fixing bugs is extremely easy, and it would've taken zero effort to prevent this one from happening.
There are plenty of games that are far more worth spending your time and money on. IronChad has 15,000 hours in Stormworks. Source.
Stormworks development is outsourced to a solo developer. His source is "someone he trusts".
